NEW: Paranormal investigator Dan Rivera found deceased while touring with the "demonically possessed" Annabelle doll. The senior lead investigator for the New England Society for Psychic Research was found deceased in his hotel room. The doll's origin dates back to 1968 when it was allegedly given to a nurse who brought it back home, where her roommate lived. "Almost immediately, the roommates noticed strange occurrences with the doll and they were introduced to a medium who told them the doll was inhabited by the spirit of a young girl named Annabelle," the New England Society for Psychic Research claimed. "The two roommates tried to accept the doll’s spirit and please it only to have it reciprocate maliciousness and violent intent," the group alleges. "Paranormal investigators" Ed and Lorraine Warren previously claimed the doll would follow people around and accused it of causing a car crash involving a priest. Rivera's passing came right after he finished a "three-day sold-out stop in Gettysburg," according to NESPR. It's unclear at the moment what his cause of de*th was.
