1/ Spinning hexagon with bouncing ball
Prompt I used:
Create html, css, and javascript code where a ball bounces inside a spinning hexagon. the ball must be affected by gravity and friction, and bounce realistically off the rotating walls.
š Winner: Gemini 1 : 1 ChatGPT
It's a tie.. But Gemini was quicker.
2/ Multi-ball heptagon physics
Prompt I used:
Write html, css, and javascript to display 20 balls bouncing inside a spinning heptagon. each ball should have a unique color, a number label, gravity, and collision detection with the walls. all code in one file.
š Winner: Gemini 1 : 0 ChatGPT
Gemini made it much faster, and balls were actually bouncing.
3/ Gravity-based particle fountain
Prompt I used:
Create html/css/js where a fountain emits colorful particles from the bottom center of the canvas. particles should follow gravity, fade over time, and be removed when they leave the screen.
š Winner: Gemini 1 : 0 ChatGPT
Gemini won because.. well, fountain looked like an actual fountain.
5/ Pong game with ai opponent
Prompt I used:
Create html/css/js for a pong game where the left paddle is user-controlled with arrow keys and the right paddle is controlled by a basic ai following the ball.
š Winner: Gemini 1 : 1 ChatGPT
Both did quite well.. The game design created by ChatGPT looked more modern.
6/ Bouncing logo dvd screensaver
Prompt I used:
Write html/css/js where a dvd logo moves around the screen, bouncing off the edges, and changes color on each bounce.
š Winner: Gemini 1 : 0 ChatGPT
Gemini at least tried to create the DVD logo, whereas ChatGPT created some abstract shape.
7/ Rotating starfield animation
Prompt I used:
Make html/css/js that simulates a rotating 3d starfield as if moving through space. stars closer to the viewer should appear larger and move faster.
š Winner: Gemini 1 : 0 ChatGPT
Gemini created a more realistic rotation of stars moving through space. ChatGPT just had an epilepsy.
8/ Fractal tree generator
Prompt I used:
Write html/css/js that draws a fractal tree using recursion. allow tree angle and depth to be adjustable with sliders in the browser.
š Winner: Gemini 1 : 1 ChatGPT
Both succeeded. ChatGPT created a more modern UI.
9/ Snake game
Prompt I used:
Create html/css/js for a snake game controlled by arrow keys. snake grows when it eats food, and game ends when snake hits itself or the wall.
š Winner: Gemini 1 : 1 ChatGPT
It's a tie. ChatGPT, again, created better looking game. Gemini, as always, was way faster to complete the task.
10/ Interactive bouncing polygon
Prompt I used:
Write html/css/js where the shape itself changes between triangle, square, pentagon, hexagon, and octagon every 5 seconds, with a ball bouncing inside it under gravity and friction.
š Winner: Gemini 0 : 1 ChatGPT
ChatGPT won this one, as Gemini at some point lost the ball completely.
11/ Results of the battle:
š Winner: 9 points for Gemini 2.5 Pro
ā Loser: 5 points for ChatGPT-5
Overall, Gemini is a great model for coding, and it completes tasks way faster than ChatGPT.
ChatGPT, on the other hand, generates a more modern, clean looking UI compared to Gemini.
